Just picked up this new album by my favorite J-Pop artist... Beni Arashiro.. So far anything she says makes me smile, so soothing to my ears. All I have to do now is learn some Japanese.

Today is a very sad day for me and my family. Our Cockatiel, Misty, has passed away around 730-8am this morning. Noticing she was very weak late last night, we cuddled, petted and took care of MIsty in her last day here on Earth. We tried feeding her, giving her water, but she did not want to eat or drink anything. I couldn't even sleep last night due to knowing that she may not make it through the night. When I woke up this morning, around 630am, I ran down and checked up on her. She was sleeping when I petted her head and she looked at me and went back to sleep. I thought all was fine and that she may just need some rest, but this was the last time I saw her alive. A couple hours later, my brother found her lying on her back. She lived a little over 10 years and I am very fortunate to have her as a pet. It is going to be hard to not see her around because every morning I always stop by her cage and say goodbye before I go out to work. I give her a whistle and she would reply back with her cute whistle and either go back to sleep or back to preening herself.
I will miss her whistling and happy nature. I know you are resting peacefully in heaven. Until we meet again, RIP Misty...
