Back from ATL
I am finally back to normal after that Atlanta business trip. The hardest thing was trying to adjust to the time change. My sleep took the hardest hit, I would be wide awake at 12 midnight eastern time and have to wake up by 6am eastern just to get ready for my seminar/training. I only fell asleep a couple times during my seminar and luckily my co-worker woke me up before my snoring would take place.
My short time I was there, I met some good people from the east coast who were encouraging and great to be around. One of my friends from the last Atlanta trip was there, too. Although, we weren't able to hit up the Oasis like last time, we managed to go crazy at the Hotel Bar. The trip overall was a perfect way to relax from the busy work schedule. The best part of the trip was taking the courtesy limo to a local Starbucks just to pass time by. You would never thought there was a Starbucks addict until you meet one of my co-workers. Wow, he goes there like 3-4 times daily and then asked if I would go with him to Starbucks in a limo. I went along and drove in Atlanta traffic to the local Starbucks.
I also love the southern food they have here. Ate at an awesome restaraunt called "Dantes Down The Hatch" and ordered the Beef Fondue dinner a meal I would recommend to any visiting Atlanta. The restaurant had a nice jazz band playing while you eat and can get a little crazy with some alcohol in the mix. A suggested drink by Captain Dante made the night awesome, I forget what it was called, but that's from what I remembered that night. By the time we were getting used to the Atlanta scene, it was already time to fly home the next day. Another food spot I forgot to mention was, Kobe Steaks Japanese Restaurant. This is a Benihana style restaurant that had great Japanese food. I love the free food I get to eat at whenever we go on business trips. Well now, I have to get back to work-mode. Have a good rest of the week.
On a sad note, I kept on checking the Clippers scores as I could in between flights. It would have taken a miracle for Golden State to lose to Portland, but I guess this season they didn't have the fight like they did last year. Just hope next year they can do some damage and make a playoff run.
