Update on the Application Process

Yesterday, I took the Physical Abilities Test and was able to pass all sections of the test. The first part wasn't too bad because it measured my lateral movement doing side steps from left to right. The second part was the cable pull, measuring your chest strength. Boy was I surprised how hard the 3rd part of the test was, the bicycle ride for 2 minutes. The first minute and twenty seconds was a breeze because I was able to bike at a good rate, but with 40 seconds left the resistance gradually started to pick up and my legs started to tense up a bit. It felt like I was climbing a huge hill, but in my head I just kept on saying to push as hard as I can. As the instructor said it was time, everyone was relieved that the bike portion ended. It was kind of funny because some people couldn't walk straight after they got off the bike and I just smiled because my quads felt like jello. I was talking to a couple guys outside after our test and they were pretty surprised how the test went. It was nice to see everyone complete the test and congratulate each other as they passed, but now it's just a wait and see what's next in the last steps of the application process. Alright, hope everyone has a great work week. Try and keep cool in this crazy hot weather!

Class of 2006

This weekend was the start of my family's graduation parties for the class of 2006. Man, a lot of my younger cousins are now graduating from high school and moving onto the next phase in their academic life. I remember when they were in grade school while I started up college, ahh that like like 8-9 years ago, oh well. I want to let them know that we will be here for them if they ever need any help with anything. One of my cousin (Vianne) is going to UC Santa Barbara and another (Lloyd) is going to UC Berkeley. I am excited for them and I know they will enjoy their time in college. One advice that I gave them was to enjoy their college life because it will come and go so fast they won't know what hit them, which is the "real world". Congratulations again, Lloyd and Vianne, man I'm getting old!

I passed my Test Last night

Yesterday, I was relieved to pass my test. I can't go into much detail regarding it, but I just want to let you know that I passed. Hopefully, things will be going well with this application process. Thanks again to all for being supportive during my application process.

Congratulations to Jay, Lou, Jovan, Cicely and Belle on their mudrun this past Sunday. It was a crazy race and I liked seeing all you guys get dirty. Hopefully next year we can have more people doing the race.

Also, Friday Tacky Fundue night was awesome. Thanks to Belle and Cicely for being such great hosts. We should have another one of these nights. Hope everyone has a great week!

Vegas weekend Recap

This weekend I went to Vegas for my bowling league's end of the year tournament. Bowling sucked because I did horrible, but other than that I had a grand ole time. Friday night, we arrived at Rio and started off the night with a free meal. I got the Black Canyon Roasted Prime Rib (20oz) over at All-American Bar & Grille (link to menu). A little bit pricey, but the food always taste great when it is free. After dinner went to gamble a little at the tables. Won a little bit, then headed to The Orlean's to check out the lanes we were going to play at the next day. I didn't practice because I was kinda tired from the drive to Vegas.

The next day was bowling at the Orleans. I didn't play my best because I haven't been bowling for a month. I was way off in my throws and couldn't get solid marks. We didn't do as well as anticipated, but I had fun this season with my cousins Karlo, Kristian and Tess. Team XXX-rated went out with a bang, getting jacked up and playing horrible. There's always next season. After bowling, we went back to the Hotel to rest up so we can get bastos over at a srtip club. We ended up hitting Cheetahs and I was quite disappointed with the selection that night. Well maybe I got irritated at this one lady who kept annoying me with getting a dance from her. The reason I rejected her was because she looked like an old Auntie and she was so aggressive in asking for a dance. There should be some law that says if you say "NO" to a dancer politely, then it means you are not interested. That kinda bugged me the whole time there. Other than that crazy Auntie lady, I had fun at the club. We got a bottle of Crown and drank the night away. Well, I only drank as much as I can until I got this pounding headache. What topped it off was almost throwing up in the cab ride back to Rio, but as I got off the cab, I ran straight to the trash can to yack my guts out. After that, I was relieved and wanted to go back to the room and rest.

Sunday, drove back home and ended a great trip in Vegas. No pictures this trip due to me leaving my camera at home. Shucks... maybe we can repeat this next time!
