Melissa & Wilkin's Wedding

cousins

Saturday was a perfect day to celebrate the wedding of my cousin Melissa and her new husband Wilkin. I'm so happy for them. I remember the last time we hung out with Wilkin he was piss drunk over at my other cousin's wedding. He got hammered and was all saying, "I'm going to be the next one to get married, and have another open bar like this". Another good time spent with my relatives over in Redondo Beach for the church ceremony and over in Citywalk for the reception. The best part was open bar the whole night. We were going at it with the bartender who kept the drinks coming. At least this time, we didn't take too many shots. Oh yeah another part I couldn't forget was when my bro caught the garter that was tossed. My bro is going to be the next one married since he caught it. The night seemed to fly by so fast because we were all having so much fun. I love spending time with the relatives, it gives us a chance to catch up on things and also it's fun to see how much everyone has grown the past years. I know next month we have another cousin getting married and I can't wait for that.

Go Away Pounding Headache!!!

Already a day since I've had this pounding headache. I've taken some tylenol to alleviate the throbbing sensation on my left temple, but it only seems to contain the pain for a few hours. Yesterday, on my drive home from La Jolla, I started feeling this pain coming from my head. So I took some dayquil hoping it would help. That drive back was madness, I couldn't bear the traffic back home. Next time I'll take a nap if I hit some traffic. When I got home, I took some nyquil so I can knock out early and get some rest. I rested from 8pm til like 430 in the morning awaking to another pounding headache. I was like, why the heck is this headache still here? I've rested a lot, and thought my body should be fine after a long rest. So I took a calcium vitamin tab and tried to knock out again. Then awaking again to the freakin alarm clock. Oh man, that was the worst feeling because the stupid alarm just made my head hurt even more. I called in work saying I had a bad headache and would try to get to clients after I rested a few more hours. The 2 hour nap worked fine until I felt another throbbing sensation around noon. So I took more tylenol, man I feel like a tylenol addict, eating them like skittles. So I went back to work as usual and tried to do the best I can to survive the day. 5 o'clock hit and I was so glad my work day was over, but still kinda bummed cuz my headache didn't want to leave. Well, it's time to knock out early. I hope this headache goes away by morning.

Happy Birthday Romeo, Thano and Jon

Saturday night with the boys was freakin crazy. I had a blast drinking up and partying over at Highlands. I can't believe how long I've known these guys back from the dorms. It was good seeing them and celebrating the birthdays of Romeo, Jon and Thano. I hope everyone had a blast, I know Thano, Lou, Romeo, Jon, Terry and I did.

Mammoth Weekend 2006

Mammoth was soooo awesome. Driving up late Friday night was one crazy adventure after working a 12 hour shift. Luckily, Cesar helped with the drive up, thanks bro. We ended up arriving around 230 Saturday morning, but it was enough rest for boarding that day. I just couldn't believe what happened to Sherwin, Caren and Jenn on their way to Mammoth from the bay. A 15+ hour trek is ridiculous, but I'm glad they got here safely. Then in the morning, once I opened the door, I knew we would have a great day of snowboarding. After a few hiccups trying to buy our lift ticketes, my bro and I were able to find our group. The runs over at Mammoth were nice, not too crowded and just good enough to carve down the mountain. The best run was the one going down to Eagle Lodge. I was able to finally go down this run when I couldn't last year due to a groin injury. After that run, we had a few more runs up and down the mountain to finish off the day. It was a good time snowboarding with friends. Later that night we ate dinner and tried to play some games, but I think a lot of us were too tired from a long day of boarding.

I would like to thank everyone for a great weekend. What a perfect way to end the month of March. I hope we can all hang out again and enjoy another snowboarding weekend.

note: pics to come at a later post.
