Vegas Weekend

I had a great weekend for my sister's birthday. Driving up friday night with Chris and Karlo went by pretty fast. We got there around 11pm which was the best time to start the weekend because we were there right in time to hit the bars. First night was spent bar hopping at the Wynn, then moved over to the Hard Rock Casino. As for gambling, I didn't do as well this time as I lost a big parlay and lost my winnings in black jack. I should stick with Pai Gow next time, I usually win playing that.

Saturday was spent hanging out with my sister and her friends, eating lunch at Mandalay Bay and ending the night with clubbing at the Venetian's nightclub TAO. I must say this place is really nice, but the people in charge of the event were pretty rude. If you weren't a hot girl or have money, you wouldn't get in and $30 for entry is pretty ridiculous unless you're in the front of the line. Luckily we got inside and spent more money on drinks and some crazy fun. If you're there, try their Chrysanthemum Dew Sake, that is a pretty good drink for $25/bottle. It'll hit you later on when you least expect it, haha! This drink will make your body quiver helplessly after the night ends, damn I was jacked up.

The next day was recovering from last nights craziness, this time I was able to wake up fine without a hangover, good job to me! We finished our Vegas trip eating lunch at the CAL and headed back to Southern California. Happy Birthday Erica, I hope you had an awesome time on your birthday! We shall do this again...

My New Car

yukon

After long research, many test drives at dealerships and some decision making, I finally got my new ride. I hope that this new car gets me and my passengers to our destinations safely. I am so grateful to GOD for providing me with many blessings, including this new car.

Weekend HURRY UP!

Man, the first couple days of my work week has been hectic. I've been driving all over the place and I seem to keep racking up mileage on the runner. I wish it was the weekend so I can rest up a bit and start my holiday shopping. Well, I hope the next few days go by fast. Please weekend, come now!!

Weekend Highlights

This weekend went by so fast, but I was able to do a lot of things to keep me busy. Friday started off with Joe's birthday celebration at D&B's. It was fun hangin out with friends and having a few drinks. Saturday, shopping day, was a pretty fun adventure. Went to Skidazzle with Joes and Cicely. It was the perfect time to go because there were no crowds and we could walk anywhere we wanted without walking into someone. I doubt Cicely will ride with me since all the criminal activities I've done that day at the Parking Lot and driving on the Freeway, haha. After Skidazzle, Cicely showed us a great place to eat CHICKEN. We all got the same 3-piece combo with 2 sides, I had the mash potatoes with gravy and chicken noodle salad. Damn, I want to go back to that place to try their Chicken Wraps, the way they made it looked soooooo good. After a late lunch, we went shopping at the Westside Pavillion where I almost bought a new pair of shoes, but luckily they didn't have my size. After shopping, one thing remained to finish off the night... CLIPPERS GAME! I'm so happy the Clips are doing well this season, I hope they can keep up their game. Sunday was our last softball game of the season. Thanks to all who participated in softball, I can't wait for season 2. Let me know if you guys are down to play again! Well, that's my weekend, thanks again for a great weekend!!!

What annoys me the Most?

The thing that annoys me the most is when I can't fix something. It gets me all rattled up spending all this time and not able to get it to work. Today at work, I was pretty annoyed with this one digital X-ray machine because it would not power up. I knew I set this up correctly, because I made sure the connections were connected to the unit. I also switched out the power boards that the X-ray company sent me to replace. So I finally concluded there was not enough power being supplied to this X-ray unit (220 volts is needed to power up this sucker). Without any luck, I called up Tech Support and talked to the Tech Support guy for 2 hours doing tests and reads on the voltmeter and still couldn't find a solution.

I did not want to fight with the doctor because he told me that he had his guy check out the wiring and he said they were getting 220 volts. I know, 220 is a lot of voltage, but this sucker was not even powering up. I called the doctor again and told him he was not getting enough power to the unit, it only read 120 volts. So another phone call to Tech Support and the Tech Support guy figured out it may be a wiring issue and from the start, that the wiring at the office wasn't up to spec. I was doing all this work for nothing, getting all annoyed that I couldn't fix this unit, but I knew from the start it was a wiring issue and I told the doctor that. If you know anything about wiring, to get 220 volts, you need two separate 110v legs connected to the breaker. What the electrician did was put 2 of the same 110 volts into 1 breaker which only gave it 110 volts. I know the doctor is gonna be yelling at the person who wired his office. Man, this was a crazy day at work. At least I was able to fix the sucker at the end and make the doctor happy.

Note: always trust your first instinct. it'll save you a lot of time!
