End to July... recap

July has flown by so fast and now I can't wait til work slows down or til my vacation days start up again. I will accrue more vacation time starting August 4, which was my start date 2 years ago. Being busy with work sucks especially when you gotta drive in LA traffic on a daily basis. Driving 30 miles in 2-3 hours is just plain ridiculous, LA drivers need to press their gas and not talk on their darn cell phones. Crossing my fingers something else will come up in my career hunt. I've finally come to terms that this isn't the career path that I want to take. There are many more opportunities I am interested in doing and will have to get lucky in finding that dream job. Wish me luck...

Not only was work busy, but I was busy attending weddings in July, one up in SF and another down here in Los Angeles area. In all, I had a blast the past couple weekends due to being inebriated with the open bar being so generous to us. To start off the first weekend in August, another wedding to attend, I guess everyone likes getting married in the summer time. Good times with friends and family, congratulations to the newly weds (Jenn & Cesar, Kristine & Alfred).

Softball, we're getting the hang of things now. Just gotta make sure we have enough girls to play every sunday because we are usually playing with the bare minimum (4). Double header coming up and hopefully we can fill that rover spot we so desperately need. Last weekend, I was happy to see we had a lead after the first couple innings of play. Solid hitting and solid defense helped until the other team started playing like bitches. It's freakin' slow pitch softball, swing at the darn ball.! That irked me a bit when their players would stand at the plate and have the bat resting on their shoulders. They knew we couldn't throw the ball to the plate every pitch and used that to their advantage. Oh well, guess they do what it takes to win. Next time we play them I'll do the same and get on base that way. Hopefully, I'll piss them off and walk in some runs.
